Theo

Theo is a sweet, lively and charismatic wire-coated Jack Russell terrier mix, possibly with a hint of Smithfield, given his delightful bob tail. He is 3 years old and the size of a Jack Russell, with shorter legs and a luxuriously fluffy coat that sets him apart. Theo is a pound rescue, desexed and microchipped.

Always on the go, Theo loves exploring his surroundings with his curious nose. He is crate trained, sleeping soundly overnight and enjoying quick rests throughout the day; he is completely housetrained. Theo is not a barker.

With a friendly disposition, Theo thrives on affection, eagerly giving and receiving cuddles and kisses. While he showed interest in fellow dogs, he preferred shorter interactions and can feel intimidated by large male dogs, opting to avoid or walk away – this is a good reaction when unsure of a new situation. He was excellent with our young puppies on site, similar size with him. Responsive, smart, and eager to please, Theo is easy to train with good focus when engaged. It’s important to note that he will need a home without birds. We do not conduct temperament tests with cats, bunnies etc.

We are based in Whakatane and rehome across New Zealand. We will require the adoptive family to travel to our premises to pick Theo up, for his safety and wellbeing.
