JDC Rescue Statement on recent incidents involving our volunteers

We’ve recently heard from our volunteers that former JDC director Paul Michael Norris and his associates are targeting JDC staff, volunteers, visitors, and their families, creating a harassment issue we need to address.

As confirmed in December 2025, Paul Norris is no longer representing or associated with JDC. He has been removed as a director and shareholder following several incidents, some involving dog neglect, losing a dog, breaching H&S policies and assault with injuries of a female staff on JDC Rescue premises. The remaining staff took upon themselves Paul Norris duties, and the lost dog has been found safe and rehomed. The assault is currently addressed by Police, and we are able to provide the Case Number upon request.

After his disqualification, Paul Norris and his associates repeatedly blocked access to JDC premises, approached and harassed volunteers and their families off site with false claims involving JDC Rescue. It goes without saying that JDC Rescue is a registered charity working closely with local government agencies, and any allegations from this individual are not made on our behalf and are addressed according to the legal procedures. We currently work with Police and our representatives to solve this inconvenience.

We want to let everyone know that if you’re approached by this individual or their associates regarding JDC Rescue, you can report it to us at 0221 629 121 or rescue@jackcenter.dog, and we’ll forward the information to our legal team and the Police.
