Teddy is a very kind and majestic boy that joined us as an emergency rescue. He was abandoned in a very remote area around Dargaville and left to fend for himself for several weeks, struggling to survive in harsh conditions. His fate took a hopeful turn when he eventually entered a rural property, in a very weak state, malnourished and very tired. The very kind owners, who noticed his desperate situation, took him in without hesitation. They not only provided him with the sustenance he desperately needed but also offered him a safe haven where he could begin to heal. They nurtured him back to health with love and care, even taking the time to bring him to the vet for a thorough check-up and desexing. After receiving the medical attention he required, they lovingly decided to bring him to us, where he could continue his journey toward a forever home filled with warmth and affection.

Teddy has a very big heart, full of love, and he is incredibly grateful to have been rescued from his previous circumstances. He has formed a very strong connection to the kind lady who took the initiative to rescue him, and he is very gentle, affectionate, and eager to please here on site. Teddy thrives on the company of humans and seeks deep, meaningful connections; he is looking for a person to show his loyalty and devotion to. His spirit shines through in every interaction, making him not just a pet but a true friend who will stand by your side through thick and thin.

Teddy gets along well with the other dogs at JDC and has shown no tendency to chase. He has a low to moderate amount of energy, and he is not a barker. He is microchipped with a lifetime NZCAR registration, vaccinated, desexed, and will have a 40 days free health insurance included with the adoption. He is absolutely stunning, and he will be the perfect fit as a lucky person’s best friend and a loyal, grateful companion for life. We want him to be loved and cherished and surrounded by kindness, after everything that happened to him. If you are interested in Teddy and you can offer him a wonderful life, please fill an Adoption Inquiry and we will contact you to organize a viewing. We adopt nationwide, provided the owner can travel. We don’t test interactions with cats, bunnies or other small animals. For most questions, please see the F.A.Q. section.
