Athena is a puppy from of our very precious trio – “The Three Little Ladies” – that came to us from Bilbo’s dogpaws Rescue as emergency rescues, while very young. The mother is medium size, mixed breed and really good natured. They found themselves in a very unfortunate situation that most probably they may not have survived.
The three little ladies are very sweet, affectionate and dignified, hence the name. They walk together everywhere, side by side. They have been vaccinated (first shots), will be microchipped with NZCAR lifetime registration this week (we postponed due to their size) and will have a 60 days free health insurance from the day of adoption.
Athena is the smallest out of them three. She has blue eyes (the color will probably change) and a very adorable face. She is thinker, a calm and loving puppy, looking to develop a deep bond with people. She has been hand fed by us and raised inside, so she is very human oriented. She has been heavily socialized by JDC K9 pack, and raised along with multiple other litters and adult dogs on site. She obviously gets along with all dogs wonderfully and has great dog to dog social skills. She is very clean and house trained, provided that she has access outdoors. All the Three Little Ladies have good manners for their age. They are expected to grow to medium sized adults, with a medium energy level, very suitable as companions and indoor family pets.
The Three Little Ladies underwent a comprehensive temperament test with a focus on puppy suitability; Athena’s Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test, or PAT results are all between 2 and 4 (perfect pet score).
If you’re interested in Athena or her two sisters, send an inquiry to Adoption Inquiry – JDC Rescue, and we’ll give you a call to arrange a viewing. We adopt nationwide as long as the new owner can travel. We don’t test our dogs with cats, bunnies, or other small animals but given the Three Little Ladies age and temperament, we expect them to seamlessly adjust to households with different other species. We also don’t know the exact breed mix unless a DNA test is done. For most questions, please check our F.A.Q. section at https://jdcrescue.com/f-a-q/
